Week 2 - No Actual Post Yet

As always, week 2 is too early to start making real posts. The football up to this point has been fluky and usually sub-par and being 1-0 or 0-1 doesn't really prove anything yet. So instead, I usually make observations... but this start to the season was weird.

If you take out that Bills Ravens game, there really weren't many track meets. But it's not like a ton of defenses played great. It really just looks like the offenses are out of sync. Many of the start players struggled and you can even see the reflection in the team scores as only 1 team was able to crack 110 points.

Is this a result of teams just participating less and less in pre-season and using it more as a way to make smarter roster cuts rather than true preparation for the season? Maybe. Is there some fantasy nugget in here about roster continuity and the bump it can give players for the first 2-3 weeks of the season? Definitely but maybe I should keep that one in my back pocket... (too late). While I'm excited football is back, watching the 3-4 games (outside of the Josh-Lamar duel) I did this weekend was a sorely disappointing and lackluster experience.

Here's to hoping week 2 brings a few more fireworks and TD notifications so everyone can get the rush of dopamine they need to make it through Sunday.

Good luck to all!
